Meet the Instructor
Gabriella Kuʻulei Mata-Wong is a Hawaiʻi Licensed Massage Therapist, Lomilomi Instructor, Realtor, and Hawaiʻi Notary Public with more than 25 years of experience in massage and wellness. Born and raised on Oʻahu and now living on Hawaiʻi Island, her work has included private practice, therapeutic and medical massage, luxury resort spas, community-based workshops, real estate, and notary services.
Her lomilomi foundation has been shaped by family and respected teachers, including her mother, Miriam Kuʻulei Mata; her sister, Louella K. Mata Vidinha; Aunty Margaret K. Machado; and Papa Kalua Kaiahua. She has also had the privilege of learning from several others along the way, carrying with her the understanding that “not all knowledge comes from one school.” Each teacher, experience, and relationship has contributed to the way she practices and shares lomilomi today.
Gabriella has served as a bank trainer, a Lomilomi Instructor with Hawaiʻi Healing Academy at the Waikīkī Trade Center, and has facilitated workshops on Oʻahu with various organizations and nonprofit groups. Her professional background also includes consulting and administrative work, along with approximately 10 years of coaching soccer. Today, she also works as a Realtor—a role she truly enjoys—and serves as a Hawaiʻi Notary Public.
A University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa alumna, Gabriella is a GRI Graduate (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) and GREEN designee. Her continued professional development reflects the same commitment to learning, service, and growth that has shaped her work across wellness, real estate, and community service. She also values giving back through volunteer work whenever possible.
Faith is central to Gabriella’s life and the way she approaches her work. God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are her foundation and guidance, shaping the values of love, service, respect, and compassion that she carries into both her personal and professional life.
Outside of work, Gabriella is a wife and mother of four adult children. She enjoys spending time with family, beach activities, stand-up paddle-board surfing, hiking, family gatherings, volunteer work, and time with her dog.
